Gastric Bypass Buddies/Mentors

A buddy/mentoring relationship pairs a successful and experienced Gastric Bypass patient/member with a novice and/or struggling member. The purpose is to support one another as each person works through the physical, emotional, and spiritual components involved in weight loss. The goal is to get to a healthy weight and stay there. This is a win-win relationship as the successful member is able to reaffirm his/her weight loss and the novice or struggling member is supported in building the confidence and motivation necessary to achieve his/her desired goals.

I'm actually not drinking any shakes right now... after surgery my stomach does not like the shakes what so ever so my surgery said as long as my levels come back good when he does my blood work I'm fine. Protein shakes just keep to tighten your loose skin.

Gym: I just started walking three times a week this week... During surgery my back went out on the operating table so I wasn't able to go to the gym right away being that I had to undergo physical therapy for my bac...
